‘FROM THE DESK OF THE ADMINISTRATOR’
Greetings Moose Brothers & Co-Workers:
Well, summer is almost over and this hot weather will soon be behind us. Fall weather is approaching and with it comes Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s. Wow!! This year is flying by. This is a good time to consider our obligations and sponsor a new member into our great fraternity. The General Governor approved an open house on Founder’s Day in October, so hopefully we can sign up several members. Details to follow. Also, in October, we are having a Veteran’s Appreciation Day with awards and pins for our Valued Veterans. If you are a Veteran, sign up for free, just check the box in your renewal dues form or call the Moose International toll-free number in the back of your card to sign up.
Several members have brought up the issue of Friday entertainment. We are revising the way we book bands/D. J and we are calling new bands from here and El Paso to try and get new and great entertainment. Also plans are being revised for a Kid’s Halloween Carnival, and Adult Halloween Dance. Also, we really are in dire need of volunteers for Tuesday Taco nights, Thursday Burrito nights and Friday dinners. PLEASE… PLEASE... volunteer helping the Lodge out and volunteer to cook your specialty.
In conclusion, always remember our obligation to the Moose Fraternity.
“Do something good, for someone, each day”
Fraternally, Paul Herrera
